KEPERRA COUNTRY GOLF CLUB
Keperra Country Golf Club is a mostly private golf facility situated in the northern suburbs of Brisbane.. just 15 minutes from
the CBD.
Currently, this 27 hole natural facility averages approximately 1000 rounds per week over half of which are in competitions
for the club’s 1300 members with the remaining rounds emanating from social, corporate and public play which forms an
extremely important additional income stream for the club.
In May - by invitation of Golf Australia and Golf Queensland - the club hosts the 72 hole Keperra Bowl which –
. is the only amateur Australian golf selection trial held each year in Queensland
. attracts over 200 entries including all of the members of the National Golf squad
. is sanctioned by the R & A Scotland as a “world amateur golf ranking accredited event”
. is ranked in the near 50th best amateur 72 hole golf event in the world and
. presently, is the only four day golf event staged in the Brisbane metropolitan area
In accord with Corporate Governance requirements, the club’s board of directors is presently redeveloping its strategic plan.
As part of this process, the board has identified the need to engage the services of an Assistant Manager\Director of Golf who
will assist the General Manager in meeting the objectives of this plan.
It is expected that the Assistant Manager\Director of Golf will be responsible for the coordination, functional management
and leadership of golf operations at Keperra Country Golf Club which will include –
. Golf Shop
. Visitor and social golf
. All club competitions
. State/National sanctioned events .. including the Keperra Bowl
. Corporate golf and
. as necessary, assisting the club’s resident PGA contracted professional
Key duties of this role will be -
. Assisting the General Manager in the day to day operations of the club including acting as the General Manager of
the club in his absence
- Designing, implementing and reporting on the club’s golf operations including preparation and review of its budget
and other financial golf related activities.
- Coordinating and implementing the specific objectives of the club’s strategic plan throughout the relevant areas of
operation .. with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Working with all stakeholders to develop and implement golf facility policies, rules and regulations.
- Taking full responsibility for all golf operation programs and activities identified above including competitions,
tournaments, junior golf programs, clinic organization, corporate golf and retail promotions.
- Undertaking pro-active initiatives to improve and monitor the standard of service across all areas of golf operations
including -
. training of staff in retail selling
. training of staff in customer service techniques
. undertaking staff performance reviews
- Ensuring that both internal and external communication channels remain a priority
Keperra Country Golf Club is keen to recruit a suitably qualified and enthusiastic leader to fulfill the duties of this role
which will be pivotal to the implementation of its recently identified strategic objectives.
A salary package will be commensurate with the skills and capabilities displayed by the successful applicant who,
