The BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) is Europe’s leading exhibition for turf professionals and buyers, and an unmissable opportunity to further your education and development through our Continue to Learn programme.
BTME 2019 will feature over 250 hours of education including the Turf Managers’ Conference, over 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and innovations plus unrivalled networking opportunities. Last year’s exhibition saw nearly 9,000 turf managers, golf club owners, managers and industry decision-makers pack into the Harrogate Convention Centre.
With the New Year come new opportunities and this January, BTME 2019 will provide a huge opportunity for the golf greenkeeping and turf management industry to take the next vital steps as we work towards a brighter future.
In a recent edition of Golf Business News I spoke about the urgent need for a reform of the governance structure within golf. The responsibility for that sits at all levels of the game and we must each do our bit. BTME is a great opportunity for us to take those important first steps.
All sides of the golf industry have a part to play and many are represented at BTME. I’m particularly pleased that The R&A are placing such an emphasis on the importance of golf course management and at BTME they’ll host a discussion panel about Golf Course 2030. This is a major document that BIGGA and other industry bodies have worked alongside them to produce and it will shape the future of the UK’s golf courses.
There’s a huge number of other events taking part during BTME 2019 at the Harrogate Convention Centre. This newsletter features just a small amount of information about the whole week.
