Hills Golf Academy in Jimboomba, Queensland has struck an agreement with Jababeka Golf Club and The President University Foundation In Indonesia on the weekend, after 9 months of meetings and negotiations.
Jababeka Golf Club is a world class facility designed by Nick Faldo and is located about 45 kilometres east of Jakarta on the road to Bundung. Around 250,000 people reside in the area with an expected influx of a further 750,000 people to by 2023.
The President University has 5000 students and delivers all courses in English. It is part of The President University Foundation which also has an English Language College and a very prestigious High School with 400 students. The President University and High School are only 1.5 kilometres from Jababeka Golf Club, resulting in minimal travelling time to and from the golf course for students.
Hills Golf Academy plan to conduct similar programs to what it already does at Hills College in Jimboomba. However, Hills will also provide programs for the university students as well as the large number of Korean and Japan ex-pats who are members of the Jababeka Golf Club.
Doors are expected to open on September 1st this year, and the first intake of long term students into The President High School will be July 2019.
The agreement is the first of its kind in Indonesia and will give the opportunity for the young players from the country a chance to experience the world class coaching that has been synonymous with Hills.
