$1.4bn resort approved for far north Qld

The Queensland Government has approved a $1.4 billion tourism and residential development at Ella Bay near Innisfail in the state's far north.

It includes three resorts comprising 860 units, a retail village, 540 permanent residences and a golf course on a former cattle property.
