AUSTRALIAN golf icon Greg Norman will attend the launch of the Greg Norman Junior Masters when the prestigious event returns to the sunshine state for the first time in 19 years next week.
In a major coup for Queensland, ‘The Shark’ will be making a rare appearance at the junior championship which bears his name when a colourful opening ceremony at Palmer Colonial on the Gold Coast starts proceedings on Thursday 13 December 2012 at 5.00pm.
A significant announcement about the future of junior golf will be made at the opening, which will also be attended by leading businessman Professor Clive Palmer, Queensland Sports Minister Steve Dickson and other distinguished guests.

“With the tournament being played across three of Professor Palmer’s superb Queensland golf courses it exposes these talented youngsters to a much wider audience.
“It is a prestigious international event and we are excited at the prospect of hosting if for many years to come,” she said.
Following the opening ceremony at Palmer Colonial, play in the international tournament is scheduled to run from Friday 14 December 2012 to Tuesday 18 December 2012.
