Wed Aug 15 2012IMG Golf Course Service Selected for Ho Tram in Vietnam
IMG Golf Course Services, a division of IMG Worldwide, the world’s largest sports, marketing and entertainment company, has been retained by Asian Coast Development (Canada) Limited (ACDL), to provide golf course construction management and pre-opening technical services for the Ho Tram Strip project in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Vietnam.
The golf course, consisting of 18 holes designed by Greg Norman, is set among spectacular sprawling dunes along the south east coast of Vietnam, close to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Ho Tram Strip is a multi-phase integrated resort development that will feature five five-star resorts, two of which will include gaming areas, offering a unique blend of beach, adventure and entertainment activities set on a pristine beachfront property in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province. The Ho Tram Strip is divided into six areas, including five resorts and the golf course.
Mark Adams, Senior Vice President for IMG said, “IMG has a long history of involvement in golf course developments in Vietnam, but the Ho Tram Strip golf course is certainly the best natural site we have seen not only in Vietnam, but throughout all of Asia. This is a great opportunity to create an iconic golf course and we are glad to be able to offer IMG’s expertise to ensure the highest quality is achieved.”
Mr. Lloyd Nathan, Chief Executive Officer of ACDL commented: “ACDL has long held a commitment to working with best-in-class partners for all aspects of our development in Ho Tram, and it is against that background that we are delighted to appoint IMG to a role that will see it oversee all technical services to our golf course. IMG's superb global credentials, and proven expertise in Vietnam, stand it in excellent stead for Vietnam's first integrated resort destination.”
