PowerPlay Golf® heads Down Under

Golf Industry Central

PowerPlayGolf

PowerPlay Golf ® has appointed Golf Industry Central as its exclusive Australian and South Pacific Island’s representative to help roll out the newly enhanced 9-hole golf format.

Golf’s exciting new global 9-hole two-flag format tackles many of golf’s Time and Cost issues, packs a strong environmental message, and is a valuable long-term partner to their official host venues and members.

“The format is not looking to replace the traditional game of golf, but to attract new and repeat players to your facility during typically “off-peak” times. Many golfers want to experience something a bit different nowadays”, says Mike Orloff Managing Director of Golf Industry Central.

“We are starting to now rollout PowerPlay Golf® to a worldwide audience and we look forward to a strong presence in the region”, says Stuart Armstrong International Development Manager of the program.

PowerPlay Golf is easy to learn – one game and you’re hooked. It is a 9-hole Stableford, with a twist. You score double points for net birdie or better when playing to the Black Flag (which we call going for a PowerPlay), but with only 3 PowerPlays available in your first 8 holes you must choose your PowerPlays wisely. And on the last hole, it’s decision time. A last-hole PowerPlay birdie or eagle wins double points, and possibly the tournament … but failure to make par spells disaster – you lose 3 points for bogey or worse on a last-hole PowerPlay.

On the PowerPlay Golf® website golfers can register to earn PowerPlay Dollars, enabling them to climb the PPG World Rankings and compete in user-generated PowerPlay Golf® Leagues both locally and around the world. PowerPlay Golf's format is ideal for TV, creating a complete golf tournament in under three hours. Broadcasters can televise golf in a more compressed time-frame, and increase golfing TV audiences.

Golf clubs become PowerPlay Golf® Official Venues by registering online at http://www.powerplay-golf.com, whereupon they are sent a Club Pack containing everything they need to run PowerPlay Golf events for their customers.

Individual golfers can register for free online to gain access to exclusive benefits from PowerPlay Golf® and its global partners.
