One of Australia's best known and most respected golf writers, Peter Stone, has farewelled newspapers but doesn't intend to leave the golf writing industry.
“Stoney”, as he is affectionately known by players, officials and fellow scribes alike, was just two months short of notching 50 years in newspapers when he decide last week to resign his position as the Sydney Morning Herald golf correspondent.
