Membership drive
Parkes Golf Club Board of Directors has instigated discounted membership fees in a major step towards saving the club from closure.
President Paul Thomas said the board and members were “hell-bent” in getting the club through the current financial crisis and introduced the discount fees to encourage membership.
“With the help of current members and through a specially organised campaign, we plan to get the club back on top and into a viable trading position,” Mr Thomas said.
The current crisis is the result of a $76,000 trading loss during the past financial year which has resulted in the club facing voluntary administration.
