Established in 1899 Concord Golf Club is the only group one private members golf club in the inner west of Sydney. The Club has hosted a number of championship tournaments including the Australian PGA, NSW Open, ANZ Championship and Australian Women’s Open.

Following an extensive review of the current structure, the Board has recently announced its decision to assume control and management of the Golf Shop operations from 17th September 2015.
The Club now seeks to engage a suitably qualified Golf Operations Assistant / Teaching Professional to assist with the golf operations and retail services at the Club. It is envisaged that this role will encompass flexible hours working in the golf shop as well as time on the range providing lessons to the members of the Club.
Reporting directly to the Head Professional, key responsibilities of this important role include:-
- Assist with the day to day management of the golf shop and club storage facilities.
- Assist with the day to day management of the practice facilities.
- Assist with the management of all member golf events and competitions, including starting competition fields, managing timesheets, processing scorecards, producing competition results.
- Keep up to date with industry technologies, equipment and general knowledge with a view to always improve the current operation of the golf shop.
- Provision of specialist golf coaching services.
- Provision of custom club fitting and repair services.
- Outstanding services to members, guests and visitors.
- Assist in the supervision and training of golf shop staff.
- Assist in preparations and execute to the highest standards the golf element of corporate golf days, including cart and equipment hire management, scorecard collection, and general duties.
- Assist in the preparation of our major representative teams
Applications are encouraged from certified members of the PGA of Australia with experience teaching in a similar golfing establishment and ideally advanced status in the coaching or game development streams.
Excellent communication skills complemented with strong attention to detail and experience using golf technology are essential qualities sought, as is the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
Remuneration can be flexible to accommodate the successful candidates interest in both the administration and coaching roles.
