Meet Golf Links new CEO
Golf Link Partners recently appointed Craig Connelly (In Photo) as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing predecessor, Judy Pridmore. Connelly commenced his role in early April 2012 and has been spending some time settling into his new position as he assesses what it is that Golf Link actually does. He has now started to map out a pathway for the company to focus on in both the short and medium term. Craig Connelly has spent more than 20 years working in the financial markets, the last 7 years as CEO of an Australian long/short equity fund. Previously he spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs JBWere, where Mr Connelly ended his tenure as Head of Research and an equity partner of the firm. Consistently rated one of Australia’s leading equity research analysts whilst employed at Goldman Sachs JBWere, and a passionate golfer and general sports nut, Connelly believes his lateral thinking, strategic focus and love of the game of golf will stand him in good stead to meet the challenges in his new role. “Golf Link is incredibly lucky. Not only do we enjoy the challenge of providing an accurate and timely representation of every Golf Link cardholder’s golf handicap, we also then have the opportunity to exploit our commercial presence at www.golflink.com.au. Through working with our commercial and golfing partners to promote the game of golf and contemplate a range of products and services we feel this will benefit all golfers either as part of their golfing experience or in their everyday pursuits. Ultimately though, Golf Link will remain true to its core product offering; being the service provider of a high quality golf handicap system to Golf Australia and every Golf Link cardholder. If, along the journey, Golf Link can also offer innovative products such as the recently launched Lexus Golf Link Cup (www.lexusgolflinkcup.com.au) that helps promote greater participation in Golf and provide every golfer the opportunity to win fabulous prizes whilst playing a great game, then Connelly believes every golfer will be a winner.
