Golfers turf team turns up
Mackay golfers pitched in to help their club with major improvement works on Sunday.About 20 members turned up to help lay turf from the adjoining Mackay Turf Farm and clean up to allow holes which have been affected by works to get back in play.The project is one of the club’s biggest ventures in recent years and includes new drains, bridges, water hazards, tees and fairway re-contouring on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10th and 18th holes.
