Strategic Operations & Field Leadership
- Maintaining Championship Standards: Responsible for ensuring the course is in top condition for play through precise mowing, fertilizing, aerification, and topdressing.
- Daily Course Inspections: Conduct daily evaluations of course conditions to prepare weekly work summaries and adapt plans to changing weather or environmental conditions.
- Event & Tournament Preparation: Supervise the specialized setup and maintenance required for high-profile club-events and major golf tournaments.
Technical & Infrastructure Management
- Advanced Turf Technology: Oversee the operation of the SubAir system and manage complex irrigation schedules to ensure healthy turf and effective water conservation.
- Equipment & Facility Oversight: Manage the servicing of tractors, mowers, and specialized equipment, while also overseeing the maintenance of course buildings and bunkers.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Conduct monthly stock-takes of fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring the inventory system is accurate and reflects current needs.
Administrative & Human Capital Management
- Team Supervision & Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and rostering maintenance staff while monitoring daily productivity and implementing training programs.
- Financial & Record Stewardship: Assist in developing annual budgets for maintenance and capital improvements, alongside keeping meticulous records for payroll and inventory.
- Reporting & Committee Support: Prepare monthly updates for the Greens Sub-Committee and facilitate communication between Golf Operations and Maintenance.
Compliance & Governance
- Regulatory Liaison: Ensure strict compliance with government regulations from agencies including PUB, NEA, SCDF, and NParks.
- Procurement & Safety: Participate in the preparation and review of tender documents while upholding all Work Safety & Health (WSH) standards.
