SEEKING: Sport Development Officer – Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre
Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre has identified the need for the appointment of a Sport Development Officer to oversee and to continue to develop our comprehensive Ladies’ Golf Program named as the Emerald Lakes Female Golf Academy.
We have seen a significant increase in junior participation over the past 18 months with numbers increasing by 300%. This can only be attributed to the employment of a Sport Development Officer dedicated to Junior Golf Development. Emerald Lakes Junior Golf Academy has recently been recognised by PGA Australia and Golf Australia as the largest junior program in Australia.
We now wish to emulate the success of the Junior Program by appointing a SDO to concentrate on Female Golf Development.
The key duties of the role are highlighted below;
The role will provide leadership to ensure the effective planning and delivery of the coaching centres’ community initiatives and the female golfer development program and is employed to work closely with relevant stakeholders, Associations, Clubs, Players, Coaches and Officials.
The role will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of specific coaching programs, golf competitions and introductory sessions. The Sports Development Officer Is intrinsically responsible for maximizing female participation in the sport from grass roots interaction through to regular participation in social and competitive golf programs.
Key duties Include:
• Management of female development coaching programs, tournaments and competitions, as detailed by relevant coaching centre operational plans;
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships Including but not limited to PGA of Australia, Women’s Golf Queensland, ladies social groups and golf clubs;
• Implementation of relevant Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre policies, programs and pathways;
• Working closely with the PGA professional coaches to Implement performance pathways for players and related programs and activities;
• Planning, delivering and reviewing structured coaching sessions.
• Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of targeted programs to increase female participation in the sport of golf.

Position
• The role is for a full time employee working 38 hours per week plus any reasonable additional hours that are required.
Remuneration
•$1200.00 per week base salary
