SEEKING: Head Golf Professional – Brookwater Golf and Country Club

Interested in working as part of Queensland’s No.1 Public Access Golf Course Team and the master planner of Greater Springfield (Springfield Land Corporation) – this could be the job for you – Head Golf Professional.

This is a newly created position and a unique opportunity to be the Head Golf Professional at a ‘Top 25’ golf course. It is a great opportunity for the right person to grow the golf business.

This will involve providing an exceptional level of service to the membership, their guests and prospective membersThe Head Golf Professional will oversee and manage the performance of the golf operations business, including all activities and services of a world class golf facility – Brookwater Golf and Country Club.

POSITION SUMMARY (includes but are not limited to)

  • Work as part of Brookwater Golf and Country Club management team and report directly to the General Manager.
  • Accountable for the administering of a complete golfing activity program providing an exceptional level of service to the membership, their guests and prospective members, while ensuring the policies, best interest and brand are maintained at the highest standards.
  • Oversee and manage the performance of the golf operations business, including all activities and services.

 
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Must have a progressive career path as a Head Golf Professional, with a proven record of providing outstanding service at the highest possible level.
  • Demonstrated experience of running a golf operations business, including leading and managing a team.
  • Exceptionally strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be a PGA Professional with five to ten years’ experience, as a Head Golf Professional in a similar quality club environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of being recognised for being highly interactive with both women and men golfers of their current club.
  • A “Team Builder and Leader.” Demonstrated experience of being a coach and motivator; sets clear goals and expectations; and high level interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability of being confident, diplomatic and competent professional who is a ‘doer’ and a take-charge person (leader and manager) who recognises importance of accountability
  • Demonstrated creative problem solver who commands respect because of way they interact with others and live up to their word.
  • Knowledgeable in “best practice” in top performing and high member satisfaction golf operations around Australia and internationally.
  • Excellent financial skills, with ability to quickly assimilate numbers and reports.
  • Strong organisational skills, plus committed to covering the details necessary to consistently achieve high levels of quality, satisfaction and outstanding member and client experiences.
  • Personable individual with sense of humour and style that is commensurately appropriate with the culture and expectations of a friendly, fun and supportive membership group, client base and business team.

 
SALARY PACKAGE

  • A salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
  • Excellent working conditions based at one of the top 25 golf courses in Australia.
  • Position will require weekend work
  • Full-time position.

 
COMMENCEMENT DATE
