SEEKING: Assistant Golf Professional – Howlong Golf Resort

Howlong is situated on the banks of the majestic Murray River, 29 km west of Albury, within a renowned gourmet food and wine region. The Club has a highly regarded 18-hole golf course, 2 Bowling Greens, Resort Complex with 25 rooms and 4 luxury Apartments, large club house with the Bridges Restaurant, Cafe, Happy Lotus Chinese, function rooms, 76 gaming machines, TAB and Keno.

The award winning Howlong Golf Resort has the largest membership base of any golf Club in Australia. The Club is soon to embark on a major redevelopment of the Clubhouse facilities and will be entering an exciting new growth phase, with new luxury apartments now complete and the Golf Links Estate subdivision progressing at some pace.

The Howlong Golf Resort is in the process of implementing a new organisational arrangement which centralises golf operations under the direct control of the Director of Golf as an employee of the Club. The new Director of Golf commenced in April 2016 and we are now seeking a suitably qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Golf Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fun and progressive team. The Assistant Golf Professional will report directly to the Director of Golf.

The successful applicant will possess;

  • excellent organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • a genuine passion for the game of golf and the golf industry
  • be well presented, friendly and professional
  • the ability to work as part of a team and to lead and inspire others
  • a strong work ethic
  • outstanding customer service skills
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in golf operations.
