Troon®, the leader in upscale golf facility management, development and marketing, is delighted to welcome yet another Championship course to its global offering. The Grange Golf Club, located in New South Wales, Australia, becomes the latest club to choose Troon to elevate standards across the board for its members and the local golfing fraternity.

Initially working with the club on its agronomy standards and playability, the full contract will see Troon assisting with all operations within the Club from July 2016. The selection of the market-leader kick starts an extensive two-year renovation project, aimed at enhancing The Grange in its quest to become the best golf destination in the Illawarra.

Over $7million (AUD) will be spent on the venue, including significant changes to the clubhouse and its amenities as well as on the course where improvements will be overseen by David Lunardelli, Troon’s Director of Agronomy for Australia, Asia and Pacific. Lunardelli will drive forward with the construction phase of newly laid out course design plans, relying on his 20 years’ experience in the sector.

David Hiscox CEO of Dapto Leagues explained, “Our ambitious project to invest in renovation, expansion and improved course design will elevate the club beyond public expectations. The revitalised club will expand its appeal to cater for everyone’s needs on and off the course from weddings to conferences, not to mention attract additional golf tourism to the South of NSW boosting the local economy.  We believe that Troon are the ideal partner to help us through this exciting period”.

The Grange is a welcoming club, offering affordable membership options for all the family and a centerpiece of its amalgamated partner, Dapto League Club. Thanks to the renovation, from later this year up to 200 guests will be able to enjoy The Grange’s state of the art function area bar, brasserie and four modern seating areas, two inside, two outside at any one time.

With similarities in their mantras for quality hospitality and customer service, financially secure and socially responsible facilities, the partnership between Troon and The Grange will help protect the facility for all its users for the long run.

Active in Australia since 1998, with one of its very first International properties, the Troon brand continues to resonate with golfers across the country. The Grange joins Kooindah Waters Residential Golf & Spa Resort and Mollymook Golf Club in New South Wales and in Queensland, Brookwater Golf & Country Club and Peregian Springs Golf Club.

Bruce Glasco, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, Troon International Division commented on Troon’s latest signing, saying: “The Grange is a fantastic facility with a strong emphasis on member and guest satisfaction. We’re excited about the initial stages of our work with the venue, the next few months give us a real opportunity to get the course on the right footing for years to come.

“With the operations team joining the campaign in July, as well as the new array of amenities coming on board, The Grange has a great chance of reaching its goal as the standout course in the region and become one of the most popular club offerings.”
