The 1st tee will be running like clockwork at the Australian PGA Championship and World Super 6 Perth with TAG Heuer partnering with two of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia’s leading tournaments.

Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has signed a three-year agreement with the PGA of Australia to become the Official Watch and Timekeeper partner of the association.

“We are delighted to begin a new era of partnership with the PGA starting next week at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast with our renewed sponsorship of the Australian PGA Championship,” said TAG Heuer’s General Manager for Australasia, Pierre Blouin.

“TAG Heuer has been entrenched in Australian golf for well over a decade – from professionals to occasional golfers we see TAG Heuer watches on the wrists of many golfers around the country. Our partnership with the PGA will further cement this strong association with golf in Australia, and we look forward to an engaging and energetic partnership ahead!”

“TAG Heuer is internationally renowned for quality and excellence, qualities highly valued in golf, we are proud to partner with such a respected brand,” said Brian Thorburn, CEO of the PGA of Australia.

“Since 1860, TAG Heuer has marked the history of watchmaking, especially in the field of chronographs with an unparalleled mechanical accuracy. We are thrilled to have TAG Heuer as partner.”

In a new addition to the Australian PGA Championship this year, fans will enjoy live entertainment in the tournament village upon the conclusion of play, headlined by Australia’s Shannon Noll on Saturday at 5pm.

Under Mr Jean-Claude Biver’s leadership, TAG Heuer has rebuilt a strong affiliation with the young generation, hiring young and innovative musicians, celebrated through its ambassadors David Guetta, Martin Garrix, GEM, and the recently announced One Republic. It is therefore only fitting that the live entertainment is presented on the TAG Heuer Stage.

TAG Heuer is also proud to present the Australia PGA Championship winner with its new and esteemed Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 skeletonised chronograph – see attached image. TAG Heuer’s General Manager Pierre Blouin will present the Heuer 01 Chronograph at the championship ceremony on the 18th green.

TAG Heuer will activate its partnership with the Australian PGA Championship to coincide with its new boutique at the Gold Coast’s highly revered new Pacific Fair shopping precinct. The TAG Heuer Boutique at Pacific Fair opens its doors for the first time today.

The partnership with TAG Heuer seals another exciting announcement for the PGA in 2016 after ISPS HANDA, Qantas Airways, Cobra Puma Golf, Western Union Business Solutions, Lexus and Yenda were announced as new corporate partners and Liberty International Underwriters and Soniq having recently increased their investment.
