City Golf Club to stage QLD PGA Championship in March
The Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship, a part of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia, will be played at the City Golf Club from 16-19 March next year.
The club has hosted the tournament since its return to the garden city in 2009.
“We are thrilled to organise the QLD PGA Championship in Toowomba once again this year. The City Golf Club has been and continues to be a great partner of this tournament,” said Simon Butterly, General Manager of the Tournament Division of the PGA of Australia.
Always attracting big names, the Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship was taken out last by Germany’s David Klein, after a playoff with Queenslander Tim Hart.
The tournament holds a special place within the Toowoomba community thanks to the many activities run throughout the week.
“The Championship is always a highly anticipated event for the region. We are looking forward to providing another opportunity to showcase the great talent on offer each and every year,” said Ed Britnell, President of City Golf Club.
“We have continued to make improvements to our facility over recent years and with the addition to the course changes, the new driving range and mini putt-putt ensures we have something to offer everyone who visits the City Golf Club.”
The Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship will be played for AUD$125,000 and Official World Golf Ranking points.
