PGA IGI’s launches Australia’s only online Diploma of Golf Management

POSTED ON March 9, 2017 @ 3:26 pm

The PGA International Golf Institute (PGA-IGI) is pleased to re-launch a new and improved PGA-IGI 10459NAT Diploma of Golf Management to the Australian golf industry.

Having undergone dedicated redevelopment over the past 12 months, the Diploma is now available fully online, significantly enhancing the quality and accessibility of the qualification.

Australia’s only nationally recognised Diploma of Golf Management qualification focuses on business, management and administration within the golf industry.

Students across Australia can now study from the comfort of their own home and in their own time, through the PGA IGI’s flexible e-learning platform, The Fairway, thereby improving work-study-life balance.

“The benefits of online training and education are numerous and with enhanced accessibility, students who were unable to study the Diploma of Golf Management at the PGA-IGI Gold Coast campus can now access the same high-quality program from anywhere in Australia,” explained Geoff Stewart, General Manager – Education for the PGA of Australia (PGA).

“The PGA of Australia’s e-learning platform, The Fairway has been in successful operation since 2011 and in that time, hundreds of students have completed nationally recognised qualifications fully-online via the PGA and the PGA-IGI,” Stewart added.

PGA IGI Senior Manager, Christine Straw, outlined the broad range of valid content delivered within the online Diploma and the employment outcomes.

“The qualification addresses a range of golf industry areas including how to manage golf operations, running tournaments and events, staff management, recruitment, junior golf development, business operations and much more,” explained Straw.

“The qualification is ideal for those looking to gain knowledge and industry relevant skills to gain employment within the golf industry, or individuals currently working in the golf industry looking to quantify their current skills and enhance their opportunities for career progression.”

Successful completion of the Diploma of Golf Management has been the first step for many individuals towards a career in golf and the qualification is recognised by multiple higher education institutions across Australia, providing up to one year credit into Bachelor Degrees in Business and Hotel, Events or Sports Management.

Students have up to two years to successfully complete their studies in the online Diploma of Golf Management and the program offers monthly intakes for new students, running from February to December each year. To support the online completion of training and education modules, student support is provided via PGA IGI professional trainers, webinars and online forums.

Exclusive member rates are available to members of the PGA of Australia and Golf Management Australia (GMA). Applications are now open for students looking to commence their studies throughout 2017. Program information is available at www.pgaigi.com
