Study from anywhere with PGA IGI’s E-Learning programs
After eight years of delivering Australia’s only Diploma of Golf Management through on campus learning, the PGA International Golf Institute (PGA IGI) have continued development of the program to make it available through E-Learning for individuals to study from anywhere in Australia.
Students across Australia can now study from the comfort of their own home and in their own time, through the PGA IGI’s flexible e-learning platform, The Fairway, thereby improving work-study-life balance.
“The benefits of online training and education are numerous and with enhanced accessibility, students who were unable to study the Diploma of Golf Management at the PGA-IGI Gold Coast campus can now access the same high-quality program from anywhere in Australia,” explained Geoff Stewart, General Manager – Education for the PGA of Australia (PGA).
The Diploma of Golf Management (E-Learning) joins the Advanced Club Management Program as the two industry focused qualifications that are delivered each year by the PGA IGI through online study.
“These two online study programs offer a great platform for professional development and staff training,” said Stewart.
“Each program has benefits to suit an individual’s needs, whether they are a PGA Professional, GMA Member, or just an individual wanting to gain greater industry based knowledge.”
Programs to suit you
With two programs offered through online study by the PGA IGI, individuals can find the program to best suit their needs and skills set.
The Diploma of Golf Management (E-Learning) focuses on the business, management and administration for the golf industry. It is a study program for individuals looking to broaden and further enhance the knowledge of all areas of golf. This is ideal for those working in the golf industry, or those looking to gain knowledge and skill set to begin a career in golf.
The Advanced Club Management Program (incorporating BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management) looks specifically into the skill sets and knowledge required by managers within the golf and club industry today. It is ideal for General Managers looking to quantify their skill sets, or those looking to enhance their knowledge to move in to a managerial role.
Flexible E-Learning
The PGA IGI’s e-learning programs offer flexibility for students. This allows you to study at times that best suit you, around work, family and life requirements.
“The PGA of Australia’s e-learning platform, The Fairway, has been in successful operation since 2011, and in that time hundreds of students have completed nationally recognised qualifications fully-online via the PGA and the PGA-IGI,” Stewart added.
The Fairway provides students with a learning hub throughout their two year study period. To support the online completion of training and education modules, student support is provided via PGA IGI professional trainers, webinars and online forums.
