About The Royal Sydney Golf Club

Royal Sydney is a Sydney icon originally established in 1893. It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world class facilities.  With 17 modern accommodation rooms set in historical surroundings that provide amazing harbour and golf course views. The Club has a fine dining restaurant, several food & beverage outlets and multiple function rooms.  Royal Sydney is renowned for international events in both golf and tennis, other facilities including a gymnasium with two swimming pools, bowling greens, croquet lawns and squash courts.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Supervisor your primary purpose is to provide a professional and outstanding a la carte dining experience to members and their guests.

The key tasks include:

  • Preparation of the restaurant prior to the commencement of service
  • Taking orders and providing a high standard of service
  • Ensuring all orders are entered / provided to the Kitchen team accurately and with efficiency
  • Recommending and serving wine
  • Preparing espresso coffee
  • Clearing and resetting tables
  • General cleaning duties

 
What does the Club need from me?

  • RSA qualification
  • Working rights in Australia
  • A la carte dining experience
  • Barista experience
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated passion for excellence in customer service
  • Team oriented whilst still being able to work autonomously
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to provide a high standard of service
  • Well presented at all times as you will interact with members daily, consistently providing exceptional service, advice and instruction
  • Display motivation, energy and drive
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Food Hygiene Certification (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of the food safety regulations (Desirable)
