SEEKING: 2nd or 3rd Year Trainee – Arundel Hills
Arundel Golf Club is seeking to appoint a 2nd or 3rd year Trainee to provide service to their Members and the green fee paying public who play the course each year.
Arundel is located on the northern end of the Gold Coast with access to Westfield Shopping and Harbour Town Outlets.
The Golf Club operates 7 days per week with the busiest days being Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday being the main member days. The Golf Club possesses a well stocked Golf Shop as well as great facilities (Driving Range/Putting Greens/Chipping area, 250m + Range)
The successful applicant for this position must be a PGA Trainee preferably 3rd Year or 2nd year.
The successful applicant must be well presented, honest and reliable, organised, self motivated with a good work ethic and has a willingness to learn, and display good communication skills.
- The collection of Green Fees, Cart Hire Fees, Beverage revenue
- Administration of club competitions – responsible for educating and enforcing the etiquette and rules of golf and so assist members to enjoy the game
- The collection of competition entry fees for both member events and district tournaments
- Maintain and manage the day to day operations of the golf carts
- Starting and coordinating competition fields
- Make provision for trophies as required
- Regularly play golf with club members and attend presentations, social activities etc (where possible)
- Assist in the promotion of the club and its facilities
Minimum Opening Hours:
7 days a week with work hours starting from 5am to as late as 6.30pm. There is on some nights the added responsibility of locking down the clubhouse some nights.
Position Remuneration/Entitlements:
The role is for a 2nd/3rd year Trainee to work under Marcus Sullivan (General Manager & indentured Professional).
Remuneration;
Base retainer/salary is in line with the trainee award.
