What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Head Chef your primary purpose is to be hands on in the kitchen and manage a team of 6 kitchen hands. You will have the opportunity to work in a creative environment where all produce is made in-house and your input will be highly valued. The successful candidate will possess supervisory experience and be a skilled coordinator. The role will involve late morning starts from 10am-7pm (Tuesday to Saturday).
The key tasks include:
- Maintain high sanitation standards in all food preparation areas
- Previous Steward supervisory experience within a restaurant/hotel environment
- Work well in a team and coordinate team members effectively
- Strong oral English communication skills
- Have an eye for detail and take pride in your work
- Ability to lead byexample including professional behaviours, work standards and positive outlook
- Cleaning and maintaining all Food & Beverage outlet’s work areas, materials and equipment ensuring each outlet is supplied with clean and dry operational equipment
- Ensuring the back of house operations run smoothly
- Complying with Workplace Health and Safety and Manual Handling
- Ensure all equipment faults / damage is reported
- Provide timely advise on stock requirements

- 5 star hotel experience (Desirable)
