SEEKING: Golf Operations Manager – Golf Central Brisbane

Golf Central is a state of the art Golf Entertainment centre that is located at Brisbane Airport. Golf Central includes a 300 metre driving range with both mat and grass tees, chipping and putting greens, the unique Cleveland Scoring Centre and extensive club fitting facilities including the TaylorMade Performance Lab.

Golf Central is seeking the services of a Golf Operations Manager to assist in growing all facets of the golf business, which includes retail with a strong emphasis on club fitting, range usage, membership, coaching and mini golf.

As Golf Central’s Golf Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:

Manage the day to day operations and performance of the Golf Department which includes the golf driving range, mini golf, membership and coaching.
Be an active member of the Golf Central management team and reporting to Facility Operator – Avid Sports.
Liaise closely with the marketing team to create and deliver promotions to grow the Golf Central brand, revenues as to foster engagement and retention.
Create innovative activities and events to drive usage of the range, mini golf and the facility in general.
Drive our club fitting services which includes Taylormade Performance Lab and supplier delivered demo and club fitting events.
Driving retail sales through the retail outlet.
Working with the PGA Professionals to deliver the coaching program.
The refinement and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Policies.
Stock control including custom orders, stock offering and levels as well as margin control.

The ideal candidate for this position will:

Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to grow a team in terms of skills and culture.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the a similar role.
Member of the Australian PGA preferred but not essential.
Be professional, passionate, motivated and reliable.
Be innovative in your approach to drive performance and achieve results.
Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day roster which will include weekends and evenings.
Have a high standard of presentation and exceptional communication skills.
Be computer (Microsoft Office) and POS literate.
Be passionate about delivering a superior level of customer service and building a loyal client base.

Golf Central is managed by Avid Sports Management who is a leader in golf facility development and facility management in Australia. Other current projects include Club Mandalay in Victoria and the Qantas Golf Club.
