If you’re looking for a permanent full-time role with a strong brand, the opportunity to develop and the chance to work with good people who are talented and work hard; join The Royal Sydney Golf Club.

About The Royal Sydney Golf Club

The Royal Sydney Golf Club, founded in 1893, is one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions. Our staff are professional, engaged and recognised for their skill and talent. We all work together to progress the Club and to protect its traditions; we aim for excellence, to lead and support each other, and to enjoy the experience.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Head Horticulturist you will be involved in the upkeep and development of the Landscape areas across the Clubhouse, golf courses and Northern Areas Sporting facilities.

Royal Sydney is always looking to improve the standard of its facilities for members. The landscape provides an integral component of this. The club has identified the need to create a Landscape Master Plan encompassing all areas of the property. This will provide an exciting opportunity to become involved to help strengthen the character and improve the efficiencies of the landscape.

The successful applicant must have experience and a good knowledge in the care and maintenance of native and exotic trees, shrubs and ground covers.

What does the Club need from me?

  • Experience in either nursery, parks and gardens or a keen home gardener (Essential)
  • Certificate III in Horticulture – Parks and Gardens (preferable)
  • Strong attention to detail, an excellent work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team is essential.

What’s in it for me?

First and foremost you will work in a positive and supportive workplace that is set in great surrounds (against a sporting backdrop). You can expect competitive wages, access to training, regular feedback and a range of benefits including staff meals, social functions, discounted purchases (wine, sporting goods etc.), uniforms, and some access to sporting facilities (golf, tennis etc.).
