Position Available
Links Hope Island Golf Resort is looking for a full time Bar & Café Supervisor to run the daily operations of the Bar and Café. At Links Hope Island we are host to a large number of golfers on a daily basis, along with corporate events, weddings, functions and events.
The applicant must have experience and knowledge with the operational aspect of running a bar and cafe. The successful applicant will be able to provide exceptional customer service and have a wealth of prior food and beverage experience.
They will report to the Café, Bar & Functions Manager and will help manage the team while undertaking a variety of tasks to ensure effective daily operations of the resort.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the daily front of house operations of Links Bar & Cafe;
- Maintain a strong operational presence and take a hands on approach;
- Uphold exceptional customer service at all times;
- Mentor and develop employee skills to improve standards;
- Creating initiatives to generate revenue and achieve revenue targets;
- Actively participate in developing beverage menus.
- Achieve wage cost percentages through efficient and proactive management techniques;
- Ensure COS targets are achieved by effectively controlling wastage;
- Maintain stock levels and effective stock rotation.
Selection Criteria:
The successful applicant must possess the following:
- Previous Food & Beverage experience;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (hotel or resort environment is preferred);
- Current RSA certificate is essential;
- Superior wine and cocktail knowledge highly desirable;
- Barista skills;
- Sensational customer service;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Reliable, punctual and impeccable grooming that would be expected in a corporate setting is essential;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends;
- Positive outgoing attitude ready to do what it takes to get the job done.
