Hotel and conference centre at Pegasus Golf Club gets the green light
North Canterbury is one step closer to boasting a 50-room hotel and conference facility after consent was granted last month.
Pegasus Golf Ltd last year applied for the resource consent in the township north of Woodend and a hearing was held in November.
The three-storey complex, which will include a restaurant and gym, will be located on three vacant lots on Taerutu Lane and one on Pegasus Boulevard, to the northwest of the golf club’s existing buildings.
The Waimakariri District Council received 16 submissions in total, seven of which opposed the development. Three of those submitters against the hotel withdrew their submissions before or during the hearing.
