Parkwood Development application for golf & surf resort lodged

POSTED ON October 1, 2021 @ 9:07 am

Parkwood development

Parkwood Management is extremely excited to announce that the team has lodged the development application for the proposed golf and surf resort.

It has been a massive undertaking to get to this point and Parkwood can’t wait to share the project with you.

The team has spent the past six months engaging the local community and council representatives in reconfiguring the current approval to accommodate A Endless Surf Wave Lagoon and upgrades to the golf course.

Sports and family venue

The objective is that by 2023, Parkwood Village will be an exciting sports and family venue that not only adds value to the Gold Coast’s tourism industry, but is also a fun family destination for locals and also has the facilities to create an elite training environment for athletes across various disciplines.

The proposed surf park will be the first of its kind in Australia and will cater to all levels of surfer, from beginner to professional. Endless Surf will be manufactured by WhiteWorld, a world-famous Canadian-based wave pool, and water park attraction developer. The Endless Surf technology is at the forefront of wave pool technologies. The variety and quality of waves is going to truly revolutionise the way we surf here on the Coast.

Surf Park

To complement the surf park, we will be completely redeveloping and upgrading the existing 18 hole golf course, with a brand new golf club house and practice facilities overlooking the 18th hole.

The proposed integrated resort will incorporate a range of mixed-use facilities, including a hotel with some private residences, offices, education, a health, sports and recreation precinct, as well as a collective food and beverage experience that comprises a large casual dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the wave pool.

The collective will incorporate food and beverage outlets including a craft brewery, market kitchens, café, bakery and various restaurant options, as well as an event and festival hall, sports bar and gaming lounge, a bowling alley and kids adventure playground.
