MiClub Case Study : Streamlining Membership Applications
Burleigh Golf Club, on Queensland’s Gold Coast, are one of dozens of clubs enjoying the benefits of MiClub’s online membership application sign-up form.
Fully integrated to the popular cloud-based MiMembership member management system, the addition of the online membership sign-up form has proven extremely popular in assisting clubs to streamline their operations in providing a seamless and efficient membership application process.
At Burleigh Golf Club, the MiMembership online sign-up form allows prospective members to join the clubs’ current waiting list for Full Conditional, 6-Day, Limited and Youth Membership categories, or apply (pending club approval) for Juniors, Cadet and Burleigh Birdie Social Lady memberships.
In a trend consistent with many other courses across Southeast Queensland, the club has a membership waitlist of approximately 550 applicants for Full Conditional, 6-day, Limited and Youth Membership.
According to Shane Tempest, Assistant Manager at Burleigh Golf Club, the new online sign-up form has significantly reduced the amount of data entry and management required, allowing staff to focus on more important tasks, and improve administrative efficiency and member satisfaction.
The club indicated that the convenience of a streamlined online application, which includes invoicing and online payment as part of a fully integrated single transaction, has greatly assisted in keeping waitlist category applications buoyant at around 150-200 a year, even with the introduction of a $200 membership application fee.
The completed online form is fully integrated into the MiMembership CRM and fully customisable to allow integrated online payment at the time of application or to allow the club to complete the application process manually by accepting and approving the form submission within the MiMembership CRM.
Both the pending approval and auto-approval options facilitate the entry of the new or prospective member into the system without having to re-enter personal details or contact information.
As is the case with the Burleigh Golf Club setup, the sign-up form can be embedded into the club’s website (including mobile), or it can also be made available on other digital platforms such as touch screen kiosks or tablets within the clubhouse or via the MiClub club app platform.
