L/R Sam Howe/Rob Blain

Mike Orloff from Golf Recruitment Central was recently appointed to assist Oatlands Golf Club with a thorough selection process for its new GM.

Oatlands Golf Club has appointed Robert (Rob) Blain as the new General Manager.

Long-term General Manager Sam Howe recently departed the role to start at Killara Golf Club as CEO. Outgoing CEO Josh Madden has moved back to WA to take a role with Golf Australia.

Rob is currently the General Manager of Eastlake Golf Club, and before this, he was the Director of Golf at New South Wales Golf Club. He has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry with broad experience across all facets of the industry.

Rob is a PGA member and was recognised late last year as the 2024 Australian PGA State and National Management Professional of the Year Awards. Rob also brings with him strong qualifications across business and leadership.

Rob is well aware and excited about the challenges that this new position will require with the commencement of the development just around the corner and the challenges of running the club during this period, together in the establishment of the new club premises

The commencement date for Rob to join Oatlands Golf Club will be the 7th of April.
