Links Kennedy Bay Reopens Full 18-Hole Course After $18 Million Redevelopment

POSTED ON November 5, 2025 @ 7:16 pm

Golfers across Western Australia and beyond are celebrating a major milestone as Links Kennedy Bay officially reopens its full 18-hole golf course on Sunday, November 2, following an $18 million redevelopment.

The facility, managed by Clublinks and located on the Indian Ocean coastline just 45 minutes south of Perth, has been operating as a 9-hole course for the past five years.

A World-Class Links Challenge

The revitalized 18-hole layout, spanning over 6,800 metres, was designed by Graham Marsh Golf Design. It blends modern design with traditional links characteristics, featuring over 100 bunkers and undulating fairways that celebrate the coastal landscape. The course is set to re-establish itself as a premier destination, offering a world-class experience for locals, as well as interstate and international visitors.

Venue Manager Jamie Brigden called the reopening an exciting moment, noting the “incredible patience and loyalty” of members, some of whom have been with the club for over 20 years. Long-time member Grant, who has played at Kennedy Bay for 25 years, praised the new design, stating it “has the same feel to it, which is really important for members”.

Growth in the Coastal Community

The golf course sits in the heart of the growing Kennedy Bay masterplanned community. Place Development, the development manager for the masterplanned community, was instrumental in delivering the project. Development Manager David Roberts expressed pride in delivering amenities like the new Links Course, which will be valued for decades and contribute to Kennedy Bay’s growth.

Beyond the golf course, Links Kennedy Bay is expanding its offerings as a community destination. It features the popular family restaurant ‘Birdie’, the adventure playground ‘The Nest’, a Pro-Shop, and will open four new padel ball courts next month.

The new 18-hole course officially opens for play on November 2, and the club is inviting locals to experience the layout and facilities at a free community open day on Sunday, November 23.
