Oatlands Golf Club Begins Construction of a Multimillion-Dollar Transformation

POSTED ON January 28, 2026 @ 4:16 pm

The storied Oatlands Golf Club has completed the demolition of its long-standing clubhouse as part of a massive redevelopment project aimed at securing the club’s financial future.

The clubhouse demolition is complete, and basement piling works are underway, marking the first major phase of construction with our development partner and national retirement living operator, Levande. The project will see the aged clubhouse replaced by state-of-the-art facilities integrated with a premium Retirement Village operated by Levande.

A Modern Clubhouse for a New Era

Despite the removal of the original building, the club remains fully operational during construction. A temporary clubhouse has been established on-site adjacent to the Advanced Trackman simulator studios for practice and coaching. The Temporary Clubhouse will operate throughout the life of the construction phase to provide essential services to members and guests, ensuring that play on the 18-hole championship course continues without interruption.

The new multi-level clubhouse is scheduled for completion in late 2027 and will feature:

  • An upgraded Member Lounge, bar, full-service commercial kitchen & outdoor dining.
  • Expanded conference and function spaces.
  • New locker rooms, gym and café.
  • Underground parking for 200 vehicles, significantly increasing the current capacity.

Levande Oatlands Retirement Village

The cleared site will become home to Levande Oatlands, a high-end development comprising independent living apartments across four buildings, together with 13 premium townhouses.

Securing the Club’s Future

For Oatlands Golf Club, the move away from its ageing infrastructure is a strategic shift to diversify revenue. Under the new business model, the club will retain ownership of seven apartments, providing an ongoing rental income stream to fund future capital works and course improvements.

“This project aims to secure the future of Oatlands Golf Club for the benefit of its members,” the club stated in a development update. “It will transform the club from one heavily reliant on subscription revenue to a sustainable institution with significant assets”.

Following the completion of the residential and clubhouse buildings, the Club plans to reinstate the 12th hole, resulting in the course providing 19 holes along with on-site practice facilities.
