In August 2016, leading National golfing publication, Golf Australia Magazine which attracts a monthly readership of over 120,000 people and which actively sets trends in the Australian golfing industry, set out to find Australia’s 50 favourite golf courses. The promotion in conjunction with Callaway offered the golfing community the chance to vote for their 3 favourite Australian golf courses and the results are in.

Bonville Golf Resort in Coffs Harbour, NSW has been named Australia’s Favourite Golf Course, receiving nearly 3 times as many votes as the runner-up Barnbougle Dunes in Tasmania and 3rd place Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne.

General Manager, Brad Daymond, at Bonville Golf Resort says “We are thrilled that the Australian Golfing public has chosen Bonville as their favourite course. For the past 15 years the Bonville Team have been working on incremental improvements to all aspects of the property to ensure a very high quality Bonville experience for all of our guests. Topping the list for passionate everyday golfers as their favourite place to play is a great outcome. It is extremely rewarding to know that we have Australia’s number one golfing destination right here on The Coffs Coast!”

The win rounds out a great calendar year for the resort, amassing awards across restaurant and catering and weddings categories as well as securing the title as Australia’s most beautiful mainland golf course for the 16th year running. “Bonville celebrates its 25th birthday in early January and what a great award to win on the eve of such a milestone” Said Mr Daymond
