The Golf Queensland Board last night re-elected Peter Castrisos as Chair of the organisation.

This is the second term Mr Castrisos will serve as the Chair at Golf Queensland following his re-election as a Director at the recent Annual General Meeting.

Joining him in being re-elected at the AGM is Judy Logan and Lorraine Matthews plus other current Directors Matthew Toomey, David Brett, David Bell, Patrick Twomey and Carmel O’Keeffe.

Mr Castrisos said he is committed to ensuring the golf industry remains relevant in today’s sporting and leisure market.

“Each year the golf industry and golf clubs are faced with great opportunities as well new challenges,” Mr Castrisos said.

“As Chair I look forward to working with my fellow Directors and Staff at Golf Queensland in tackling these issues.

“We will look to build industry sustainability through initiatives focusing on growing player participation and strengthening club operations.

“Another key issue is tackling the membership challenge, promoting new ways for people to become involved in golf while keeping traditional structures strong.”
