Club Car / Greg Norman Rookie of the Year

SYDNEY:   Mr Kevin Gates Vice President of Club Car Asia Pacific announced today that talented young golfers Ben Eccles and Hayley Bettencourt are the 2016 Club Car / Greg Norman and Jan Stephenson Club Car Rookie’s of the Year. 

As the Rookies of the Year each will receive a cash prize of $1,500 and a trophy and these will be presented to them at the Australian Golf Writers Association annual dinner on Saturday night November 19th at The Bonnie Doon Golf Club in Sydney during the Emirates Australian Golf Open.

Mr Gates said today, “Club Car is pleased to be able to support up and coming golfers and to sponsor this award in company with Greg Norman, Jan Stephenson, PGA Tour and the ALPG and to present the awards to Ben and Hayley who are both  worthy winners.  Hopefully this will help them go forward in their golfing careers.” 

Ben Eccles said, “My selection for this is great to receive and I am truly honoured to be the recipient of this award.”  I sincerely thank Kevin Gates and Club Car, Greg Norman and the Australian Golf Writers Association for selecting me for it”. 

Hayley Bettencourt said that she is delighted to be selected for the award and to have Jan Stephenson’s name on it makes it all the more memorable.  “I will treasure this award and I sincerely thank Mr Gates and Club Car and the ALPG for selecting me to be its 2016 winner.”
