EOI: Catering Services Provider – Muirfield Golf Club

Muirfield Golf Club is situated in Sydney’s Northern Districts; the Club is located a convenient 10 minutes from Parramatta, and 25 minutes from the Sydney CBD.

We are currently undergoing a full review of all areas of the Club which will see the Club transform into a modern entertaining & dining destination, becoming a social hub for local members, guests, and visitors to the area. The Club has 14 gaming machines; over 1000 members; bistro; function rooms and keno. The Club invites suitably qualified and experienced Contract Caterers to express interest in the provision of all catering services to be provided at the club, including the operation of a half way house during members competitions. The dining area seats up to 60 people and the main function room up to 100 people. Dining is currently offered 6 days a week, lunch and dinner. Function business is established and bookings have been taken up to 12 months in advance. The kitchen is fully equipped with dry and cold storage appropriate to the venue.

Muirfield Golf Club is willing to discuss further requirements with the successful applicant. On completion of the renovations the Club will be striving to increase the function business and will be promoting heavily in the local community. With the right operator offering good food and using proper marketing and promotion techniques, it will develop into a very profitable business.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior management in the marketing of the dining facilities. The Club is willing to offer up to 3 year lease period, negotiable. All cooking and refrigeration equipment is provided. You would need to provide all cooking utensils and linen. You will cover utilities and staffing for the kitchen, service, and functions when needed. The successful applicant will need to provide:

  • Both Bistro menu and function menus that are suitably priced and will help increase patronage.
  • A suggested schedule of hours.
  • Service staff that are excellent communicators and who truly understand the provision of friendly and outstanding customer service.
  • Professionally attired staff, both front and back of house.
  • Examples of prior experience in a similar operation.
  • Professional references.
  • Information relating to procedures and experience in managing Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and food hygiene, and insurance coverage.
