Espie Appointed New Melville Glades GM
The Board of Melville Glades Golf Club announced today the appointment of Mr Matthew Espie to the senior position of General Manager.
Matthew has over six years of business experience working within the local golf industry, firstly at Golf WA, the representative body for amateur golf in Western Australia and for the last 1 1⁄2 years at Melville Glades in the role of Member Services Officer.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Administration and Commercial Law) and has been involved in Junior Golf development and coordinating Golf programmes all around Western Australia.
Matthew will form part of a dynamic and experienced management team at Melville Glades, working with Head Golf Professional Ritchie Smith, Course Superintendent Dane McBride and House Manager Mitchell Ryan to achieve high service outcomes for the 1,100+ members of the Club.
Club President, Gary Allomes stated “Matt brings strong business and golf-related skills to his new position, and in conjunction with the Club’s Board of Management, will lead Melville Glades Golf Club to achieve significant growth targets in both membership numbers and revenues through the Club’s Future Development Plan. The Board are very excited about Matt’s appointment and what he will be able to contribute in positioning Melville Glades as a leading private golf club in metropolitan Perth”.
Mathew is married to wife Ashleigh, and apart from being a capable golfer, Matthew is also a current premier grade hockey player with North Coast
