Feros Group to Develop Boutique Hotel at Bingara Gorge Country Club

POSTED ON September 19, 2025 @ 11:10 am

Feros Group has received Development Application (DA) approval from Wollondilly Shire Council to build a 49-room boutique hotel, complementing its new Bingara Gorge Country Club. This greenfield development is set to create a new tourism and leisure destination for south-west Sydney.

The new accommodation precinct, which overlooks the golf course, will feature 49 rooms with a mix of sizes to suit families, couples, and corporate visitors. The approved plans also include a private gymnasium, a pool, and health and beauty services, as well as a retail precinct. The hotel’s design will seamlessly integrate with the surrounding bushland and the Bingara Gorge golf course, with views across the back nine.

“The hotel is a critical piece of our vision to create a complete destination for the community and broader region,” said Chris Feros, CEO of Feros Group. “Whether it’s hosting wedding guests, golfers, or visitors exploring Wilton, the hotel fills a significant gap in the market. We envision the Bingara Gorge Country Club as a place where people can stay, socialize, and celebrate, all in one idyllic community.”

The $50 million Bingara Gorge Country Club, a joint venture with Metro Property Group, is currently under construction and is expected to open in early 2026. The club will feature a family bistro and bar, a large outdoor kids’ play area, a sports bar, and multiple function spaces, accommodating up to 1,000 people.

Luke Hartman, Managing Director at Metro Property Development, highlighted the importance of the project for the region. “This accommodation precinct will provide a much-needed option in an area where hotel supply is limited, reinforcing Bingara Gorge’s position as a premier master-planned community,” Hartman said.

The project is also expected to boost the local visitor economy and create new jobs. Ben Taylor, CEO of Wollondilly Shire Council, said the development will serve as a new social hub for residents while also supporting tourism.

Construction on the accommodation precinct is scheduled to begin in late 2027.
