Golf Queensland announced today that their website will join a national digital platform which will strengthens the organisations relationship with the national body, Golf Australia.
The move also allows for Golf Queensland’s website to align with the websites of Golf Victoria, Golf NSW, Golf SA and Golf Tasmania.
Golf Queensland CEO Lindsay Ellis is pleased to be working with Golf Australia on this project.
“Both organisations will benefit from efficiencies in sharing content and increasing the engagement we have with golfers from around the country,” Mr Ellis said.
“Our website is an important element in our promotion of golf and during the past year we have recorded over 744,000 page views.
“We anticipate this will grow as we move to the modern and user-friendly platform.”
Golf Australia head of media and digital John Sutherland said it was “fantastic to welcome Golf Queensland to the national platform” which will offer a greater depth of content to all users, but retain the state-based emphasis.
“Golf Queensland will now benefit from reduced costs, richer content and extra helping hands on deck through busy times,” he said.
“In the past five years Golf Australia has been extremely keen to reduce digital and media inefficiencies around the country, and now with a platform running and hosting all bar one of the state governing bodies’ websites, we have gone a long way to achieving that.”
