Golf Tourism New Zealand reports 41% increase in 2015
After only 18 months the golf tourism initiative has reaped high dividends!
When the strategy paper was written in 2013, golf tourism’s benefit to the New Zealand economy was estimated at $210M annually. As of the end of September 2015, the number sits at a $296M benefit to the economy, an increase of 41%.
This means that golf tourism contributes over $44M in GST alone.
This shows the real merit of groups of clubs and national bodies working together toward a bigger picture goal.
