Minister Stuart Ayres to visit Concord GC

The Honourable Stuart Ayres MP, NSW Minister for Sport, accompanied by Mr John Sidoti MP, Member for Drummoyne, will be visiting Concord Golf Club tomorrow to inspect the $4.3 million course upgrade project being carried out by the Club in partnership with renown American golf course architect Tom Doak.

Minister Ayres will talk about the benefits of golf tourism to the state, the NSW Open Golf Championship being held at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club this November, and recognise the achievement of the Golf NSW Men’s, Boy’s and Women’s teams in winning their respective Australian Interstate Teams titles.

Mr Sidoti will announce an assistance grant through the Community Building Partnership Fund to enable Concord GC establish a state-of-the-art training facility designed to attract visitors and to develop the sport in Sydney’s Inner-West.
