After 11 years of dedicated service to the Club and its members, Paul Hinton has decided to resign as General Manager and pursue new opportunities. Paul’s final day at the Club will be Tuesday 10th January 2017.

Since his appointment in 2005, Paul has implemented many valuable initiatives at Royal Sydney and assembled a talented group of managers. Under Paul’s direction, the Clubs management team and staff have been dedicated to providing excellent service to members, to delivering an enhanced food and beverage offering and to improving the quality of our facilities. This provides a great foundation for the future of the Club.

During his time at Royal Sydney, Paul and his team have prepared for four Men’s Australian Open Championships, a Women’s Australian Open Championship, the 2011 Davis Cup Tie as well as many other large events such as the annual Club Championships, Christmas celebrations and 120th Club Birthday. The planning, construction, opening and daily operation of Royal Sydney’s Fitness Centre, as well as the excellent work on the Clubs 2030 Strategic Plan and Master Plan projects are all testament to the improvements made at Royal Sydney during Paul’s tenure.

Ian Finlayson (CFO) will be appointed Acting General Manager and a decision will be made regarding the General Manager role in due course.

On behalf of all members and staff, RSGC President Graeme Bailey would like to wish Paul all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his contributions over the past 11 years.
