Peter Frewin to join Rain Bird Australia

Deer Park, Victoria, AUSTRALIA (September. 1 2016) – Rain Bird Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Frewin to the position of National Sales and Marketing Manager for its Golf activities.

Frewin arrives at Rain Bird following a successful tenure of almost five years as the C.E.O. of Australia’s leading member organisation for turf managers the Australian Golf Course Superintendents’ Association.

Peter’s career in the turf industry has spanned 35+ years and he was one of the industry’s most respected practitioners and winner of the 2009 AGCSA Distinguished Service Award winner.

Peter has a long association with Rain Bird which commenced at Barwon Heads where the club was one of the first courses in the world to use the Rain Bird “hybrid” central control. Peter was also one of the original members of the Rain Bird Irrigation Advisory Council.

“Peter will be a great asset to Rain Bird and the irrigation sector in general. He brings a wealth of experience to the role and we look forward to him representing Rain Bird’s Golf systems and solutions at a time where The Intelligent Use of Water™ is a growing challenge and opportunity in our industry” said Tony Irvine (Rain Bird Australia General Manager).
