Leading Australian PGA golf teaching professionals and co directors of the Pro Tour Golf College Lawrie Montague and David Milne, have been awarded the 2016 Best Asia/Pacific Professional Golf Teacher at the prestigious Asian Golf Awards in Hua Hin, Thailand.

Former Australian women’s national team coach Montague and twice Australian PGA teacher of the year Milne have spent the last five years creating a unique golf development pathway designed to provide grass roots through to elite level golfers with the means to represent their country, attain a college scholarship in the United States, and/or play on the Asian professional golf tours.

Milne states, “It’s great to be recognised by the Asian golf industry for our efforts to grow the game of golf in Asia, and at such a prestigious event, attended by the titans of the Asian golf industry.”

The Pro Tour Golf College model is unique in the fact that it provides a world class private golf training facility at Emeralda Golf Course that allows golfers to prepare all facets of their game in preparation for major junior and professional golf tournaments.

Montague added, “Our philosophy provides an holistic, highly structured, intense, performance based improvement environment for our students as opposed to the perfect swing focused model that is very common throughout the golf industry.”

“Numerous high profile golf teachers/academies have attempted to establish themselves in Asia with limited success. Whereas David and Lawrie with their partners in Indonesia, The National Golf Institute, have consistently delivered results year-in-and-year-out that back up the quality of their golf training system,” affirms Mike Sebastian the CEO of Asia Pacific Golf Group.

For more information and interviews with Lawrie Montague or David Milne or for information on becoming a student of the Pro Tour Golf College in Indonesia please contact Gian Perkasa at the National Golf Institute on +62 818 869 033 or gian.perkasa@gmail.com
