The Royal Sydney Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Solomons as the Club’s new General Manager.

Michael joins Royal Sydney following 11 years as the CEO and Secretary at The Queen’s Club, Sydney. He also held prior positions with both the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and Sydney Inter-Continental Hotel.

Michael’s qualifications include a Diploma of Business (Hotel Management), and a Master of Business Administration. He is one of three Australians to be awarded a Level 5 Honours Diploma in Wines & Spirits from the London Wine School, and has won Australia’s Wine List of the Year Award on three occasions for Best Club Restaurant Wine List.

Royal Sydney President Graeme Bailey said Michael’s extensive industry experience will be invaluable in his role as General Manager at Royal Sydney.

“We are confident that Michael will be a huge asset to Royal Sydney, both in terms of his people management skills and his Food & Beverage expertise,” Mr Bailey said.

“He has an impressive academic CV and should be an excellent cultural fit with the Club and our membership.”

Michael Solomons will formally join Royal Sydney in October 2017.
