SEEKING: Business and Operations Manager – Phillip Island Golf Club
An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic and experienced professional to join Phillip Island Golf club in the role of Business and Operations Manager.
Phillip Island Golf Club has long been regarded as one of the finest layouts in regional Victoria. The picturesque course, located in walking distance from central Cowes, and only metres from the beach, carves its way through the magnificent landscape with an abundance of local wildlife perfect for a round of golf.
Principal Objectives:
- In conjunction with the Board, develop and implement the clubs strategic, business, marketing and communication plans;
- Progress, direct and ensure compliance with all Governance related matters including relevant policies and procedures across the entire business;
- The achievement of the financial targets by improving existing, and
driving new revenue streams;
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the golf club and clubhouse to
ensure all requirements are met. - Regular review of all income streams and expenses relative to budget
and implementation of corrective action if and where required; - Monthly quantitative reporting to the Board to track the strategic
objectives incorporated into the business plan; - Work effectively with staff and contractors to ensure all operational policies and procedures and WH&S protocols are developed, implemented and complied with
- Ensure the presentation of the clubs facilities and services are
provided and delivered to meet, and where possible exceed the
expectation of members, guests and visitors alike;
Key selection criteria:
- Proven record of success in business management at P&L level for
minimum 3 years - Demonstrated experience in achievement of revenue / membership growth
- Demonstrated ability to develop , communicate and implement
strategic plans
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an energetic, motivated, positive and sales driven individual who
has a strong operational background. - Have the ability to build strong and lasting customer relationships
with highly-developed customer service skills - Have excellent oral and written communication skills and effective
negotiation skills - Have the ability to work within budget constraints and the ability to
manage multiple and competing deadlines. - Have the ability to work after hours (attendance at after hours
events where necessary) - Be a very professional, polished, positive and genuine persona with a
passion for people. - Have strong strategic planning skills
