SEEKING: Club Manager – Flagstaff Hill Golf Club
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced professional to lead the team at this facility that includes an 18 hole golf course as well as a Restaurant and Bar facility that is available to the local community.
The Club Manager role is pivotal to the leadership and management of the facilities and Club membership.
Reporting to the Club Captain and the Board, your broad responsibilities will be:
• To lead, inspire and implement the strategic vision for the Club, its members, staff and all stakeholders.
• Responsible for managing all Club finances, resources, golfing facilities, club house operations and staff.
• Creating an atmosphere within the club restaurant and bar that is welcoming to the local community.
• Developing and maintaining the highest standard of care of the game of golf for the Club and its members: their enjoyment and etiquette on the course and in the club house.
• Driving the Club’s financial performance and position which includes the gaining and retention of sponsors.
• Implementing strategies to ensure best practice membership retention and growth.
• Development and implementation of a marketing strategy that maximises the use of the club’s facilities.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
• Professional qualifications in business management.
• Proven experience in a General Manager or similar role.
• Demonstrated strong business acumen with both revenue and sponsorship generation capabilities. Be fully accountable for profitability.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, negotiation, problem solving, conflict management and team building skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to staff engagement, retention and development.
• Have a demonstrated understanding of marketing and branding to deliver value including best practice customer service.
• A good understanding of social media and how to engage in this media.
• Demonstrated strong working knowledge and experience in hospitality and events management.
• Excellent organisational skills with a willingness to work collaboratively with the Club Board, sub-committees, employees and contractors.
• You will be a friendly, independent and motivated person with strong communication and personal skills which match the Club’s culture.
An appropriate remuneration package & employment terms will be negotiated dependent upon experience.
