We are currently seeking a high preforming, high energy, functions & events professional to lead a dynamic team in the next exciting phase of our unique property.
Parkwood International, Home of the Gold Coast Titans, is just about to relaunch after a multi-million dollar redevelopment which includes a brand new sports and medical precinct as well as upgrades to our existing food & beverage outlets, golf course and function spaces.
As the function & events manager you will be responsible for the overall operational management of all functions and events outside of our marketplace bistro and sports bar.
We currently have three distinct function rooms as well as many more unique bookable spaces. We deliver over 150 weddings per year as well as over 500 other events including birthdays, conferences and engagement parties and many more.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Accountable for the full operational success of all functions and events, from set up through to delivery, pack down and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the wedding & events sales manager to ensure customer expectation is not only achieved but exceeded
- Assist in the conceptual design of events and work with the General Manager of Operations on operational plans for all functions & events
- Accountable for the in shift cost management of beverage stock, wages and cost of goods
- Provide regular and ongoing training of function & event staff as well as assist in the general food & beverage training of all staff
- Manage policy & procedure within the functions & events team
- Maintain all function rooms and spaces to the highest possible standard.
Suitable candidates will possess the following;
- 5 years’ experience in a multi outlet function & event venue
- Experience in high volume, fast paced management
- Ability to manage multiple functions / events simultaneously with thorough forward planning and execution
- Current RMLV
- Ability to work late nights and weekends when required
- Proven history of preforming well under pressure and making thought out executive decisions
