Cromer Golf Club was established in 1926 on Sydney’s northern peninsula. The layout with its excellent bent grass putting greens presents an enjoyable challenge to golfers from beginners to highly skilled players in a wonderfully secluded setting. With a reputation for friendliness and leadership in diversity Cromer provides members, visitors and corporate guests with leading PGA professionals, tuition programs, a great pro shop, practice facilities and member social amenities including clubhouse and function centre, cafe and private dining, bridge club and gardening groups.
With the retirement of our current General Manager, Cromer is keen to engage an energetic leader to build on our playing facilities and vibrant membership as we continue to develop our Club. The Board is seeking an outstanding candidate with strong commercial acumen balanced with the communication skills which will ensure high levels of member and staff engagement and underpin a proven sales and marketing ability.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strategic, marketing and revenue generation success as well as proven ability to effectively deal with the range of challenges and opportunities required in a multi-faceted business. Adding to the communication and engagement skills, the role requires experience in financial management, information technology, business and people management across operational and service functions.
While not a pre-requisite of the role, experience within hospitality and/or club industries will be viewed favourably.
